To complement the sesquiennial conference programme, the aae invites speculative proposals for hosting an aae forum. These one-day events, structured around papers, workshops or seminars, are hosted by school, university or institution and organised around a theme or issue closely aligned with and supportive of the aims of the aae.
A forum is intended to provide a platform for increasing the involvement of educators, students and practitioners in aae, for the testing of ideas that may become the basis of a fully fledged proposal to host aae conference, and/or a pitch to guest edit a themed issue of Charrette, the aae journal, or a proposal for a meeting with invited speakers to debate a particular topic, or a mix of these.
